Achievements
Dr. Rice graduated from the University of Southern
California School of Dentistry in 1986. H is
graduating class was the
first that had the
opportunity to have an emphasis in esthetic dentistry. He also received
a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Utah State University
in 1982. He is a member of the American
Dental Association, California
Dental Association, Orange
County Dental Society, Newport Harbor Academy of
Dentistry, Crown
Council, Dental
Organization of Conscious Sedation,
genR8Tnext and Irvine
Chamber of Commerce; founding member of DOSA – Dental
Organization For Sleep Apnea, and The
Academy of Laser Dentistry . Dr. Rice has been involved in dental education since 1986 when
he received his teaching credential for the California State Community
College system. In 1987, he began teaching as a clinical instructor
for the dental hygienist program at Cerritos College. In 1999, Dr.
Rice performed a “live patient
treatment” at
the University of Pacific School of Dentistry. While there, he provided
Amy (a previous employee and current patient) with eight porcelain
veneers. This procedure was observed by 30 other dentists who were
learning to perform advanced functional esthetic dentistry in the
company of Dr. Bill Dorfman, the cosmetic dentist on the Extreme
Team for the hit television series "Extreme Makeover." Read

Community Service
Dr. Rice and his wife, Beverly, have been
active with the Irvine
Public Schools Foundation, a non-profit
foundation that has raised millions for the Irvine Public
School System. Beverly
was a founding board member. Dr. Rice has served in multiple leadership
positions with the Boy Scouts of America, and is the proud father of
an Eagle Scout. He is active in the Smiles for Life campaign in conjunction
with St. Jude’s Children’s hospital, and his office recently
raised $10,000 for children’s charities through that campaign.
Dr. Rice is active in his church. He has performed missionary service,
taught Sunday School and been responsible for the membership and financial
records at his local congregation. Beverly is also a member of the National
Charity League and has served
on the chapter board for over 3 years. NCL performs philanthropic work
many charities including Make
a Wish and Susan
G. Komen foundation.
